Jeff Brown

Jeff is a 1985 graduate of Ozark Bible College in Joplin, MO. After graduation, he served in Missouri for 2 1/2 years as the preaching minister of Swedeborg Christian Church and the manager of Gasconade Christian Service Camp. In January of 1988, he and his family moved to Arizona where he worked in Spanish evangelism until July of 1990, at which time he moved back to Missouri and began working with Christ's Mission Church as their preaching evangelist; a position he still serves in today. His responsibilities include preparing and delivering sermons and lessons and leading the church in evangelism.

Jeff and his wife Mary (Alt), whom he met at Bible college and married in April, 1982 have three grown children; Dasha (married and lives in the area), Celeste (works for the Marine Corp in Quantico, VA) and Sawyer (married and lives in the area). All three children are active members of a Christian Church. Jeff & Mary make their home in Devil's Elbow, a little community on the Big Piney river just outside of Fort Leonard Wood.

Bob Leinbaugh

Bob came to CMC in January of 2004. He had previously been in a 13 year preaching ministry at the First Christian Church of Richland, MO.

Bob is a "paid elder" who is in charge of the entire educational program at CMC including the Sunday School program, All Mid-Week Bible Studies, Discipleship Groups, Sunday School, Curriculum, Recruitment, Teacher training, etc. In addition to these duties he also oversees the praise team and plays keyboard and electric bass for them often (although not at the same time).

Bob has been married to Teri (Moore) since 1979 and they have two children.  Jason is married and a full-time employee in the Waynesville school system. Bethany is a graduate of Ozark Christian College and is employed full-time as a special education teacher with a school in the Joplin area.

Bob and Teri are the proud grandparents of three beautiful girls, Maggie, Thea, and CeCe. Pictures are available upon request.


Walter doyel

 Walter came to CMC around 1991, to help along with other Crocker Christian families, helping with teaching Adult Bible class. In 1996 be became an elder and served until 2000. Because of health, he stepped down from his position as one of the elders.

 In 2012, Walter was reinstated as one of the elders. Periodically teaches Bible classes on Sunday, sings in our praise team and helps where there is a need.

 Walter is married to Susan, together they have 9 grown children. And 14 grandchildren. 

 He has worked full time as an hairstylist, for 40 years. He enjoys helping and encouraging people. He likes to play golf and hike trails, playing games and having fun and laughing.


Tim Rowe

Tim and his family came to CMC in 1992 when it was called Ft. Wood Christian Church. Originally from the East Coast, they came here when Tim was assigned to FLW as an active duty soldier in 1984. They became members of the Crocker Christian Church after moving to Crocker in December of 1984, but came to believe that with their military background they could serve more effectively with our military- based congregation.

In addition to serving as an elder, Tim leads a mid-week Bible study and periodically teaches Bible classes on Sunday. He participates in many of the congregation’s activities.

Tim and his wife Debbie celebrate 36 years of marriage in February 2008 and have 2 grown and married daughters, Staci and Deanna and 6 grandchildren. Each one of their daughters has 2 girls and 1 boy.

Having retired from the US Army in 1989, Tim now works fulltime at Ft Leonard Wood. In his spare time he and Debbie have a small farm just north of Crocker where they raise beef cattle.


Henry Muse

Henry and his family came to CMC when it was still Fort Wood Christian Church back in 1990. Henry and his family settled here after a short absence in Japan and Kansas to be close to the church. Upon retirement from the Army he has been serving the church and working locally. 

Henry has served as an elder since 1998. He also teaches Sunday school and has had the opportunity to preach, here and at some of the other congregations in the area.

Henry and Debra have been married for many years and have three children. Amos, who has provided them with two beautiful granddaughters, Sarah, a graduate from CCCB, and Rachael who lives and works in the Joplin area. Debra had served as church secretary until her illness prevented her from continuing and now enjoys spending time with her grandchildren Hana and Aaliyah.

Sherri Hays

Sherri is a truck driver's wife, having been married to her over-the-road trucker husband, Glen, for 33 years. They have 3 adult children, Roger, Jacob and Chelsea (married to Cody Baumgardner). They are grandparents of Thea Nichole, born in November 2016 to Cody & Chelsea. They have been attending Christ's Mission Church since 2007. She was baptized into Christ in May of 2004.

Sherri enjoys time with her family, hunting season, cooking, crafts, Kansas City Chiefs football (even when they aren't having the best of seasons), Kansas City Royals baseball (see previous addendum to the Chiefs), St Louis Cardinals baseball, Missouri Tigers basketball and last, but definately not least, being secretary for the wonderful church family at CMC and working with really great people in the CMC office and providing them with the occasional baked goodies.
